Fellowship Groups

Creating opportunities for people to draw closer to God and to each other

??Church Groups:
Adult Sunday School meets Sundays at 9:15 am in the Small Dining Room. The group is currently studying ?The Upper Room Disciplines : A Book of Daily Devotions? which follows the lectionary readings. All are welcome.

Christian Women?s Fellowship has two circle groups. Esther Circle meets 2nd Saturdays at 9:30 am. Miriam Circle meets 2nd Tuesdays at 9:30 am. Meeting locations vary and all women are welcome to join.

Church Choir meets Thursdays at 7:15 pm. The group rehearses weekly and sings during worship twice a month, they also perform their annual Christmas and Easter Cantatas. People of all ages, musical ranges, and ability levels are welcome. "Make A Joyful Noise"

Out to Lunch Bunch meets for lunch on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month. This intergenerational group meets at local restaurants for food and fellowship.

Community Groups and Organizations that our church supports:

Bringing Broken Neighborhoods Back to Life is a model Police/Community partnership combining the efforts of law enforcement, the faith-based community and other community organizations in an effort to improve the quality of life for all of the citizens of Selma. The goal of the organization is to promote healing and establish a positive future, free of violence and filled with a feeling of security, where families prosper and children reach their fullest potential.

Christian Café an ecumenical group feeding needy families once a week at the First United Methodist Church in Selma California.

Community Food Pantry

SMART Center food distribution for needy families on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month.

Second Chance Animal Shelter is a volunteer based non-profit, open admission shelter that provides care to animals within the cities of Selma and Fowler regardless of age, health, or behavior.  

Selma Cares is a local non-profit organization that helps needy families. For more information contact Selma Cares at (559) 896-2229.
